Angela Finger-Erben was actually really looking forward to the next few weeks. But now she’s contacting her fans in despair. What happened?
Normally, presenter Angela Finger-Erben always appears with a big smile on her face. But that has now disappeared. The presenter, close to tears, reports to her followers in a new Instagram story and reveals: her vacation has fallen through. But what is the reason?
As Finger-Erben explains, she and her husband Jens Diestelkamp had actually planned to fly to Tirana with their children. The family wanted to travel through Albania for three weeks. They were really looking forward to it, but then everything turned into “absolute horror”. Their flights were cancelled shortly before they were due to travel. News that not only upset the family, but also led to unpleasant scenes at the airport. “People were shouting and pushing each other. I’ve never personally experienced anything like that,” says the 44-year-old.
After a long wait, the Finger heirs initially rebooked their flights for Tuesday via a service hotline. The problem was that the Cologne family would have had to fly from Frankfurt. It remained unclear whether their travel costs for the trip to the Hessian city would have been reimbursed.
A possible train connection was already overbooked. That’s why Finger-Erben “reset everything to zero”. “It’s all too uncertain. In the end we had the flight cancelled,” she says. She also cancelled a rental car that had already been booked in Tirana.
Because the trip to Albania fell through, her children’s world “fell apart”. However, the RTL presenter did not want to give up her vacation completely. Together with her family, she pondered how they would spend the three free weeks. After all the drama, they had decided “under no circumstances” to book any more flights. “That’s why we’re now looking at where we can drive to. The mood remains the same.”
