The celebrities have barely moved into the jungle camp when one of them has to leave again. On the second day, RTL kicks a star out of the show.

For the 20th anniversary of “I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here!”, RTL has launched a summer jungle camp for the first time and has recruited former residents for the TV experiment in the bush.

However, for the first time, this is not a live show, but a program that was recorded a few weeks ago. This means that the viewers don’t have to decide who has to leave the camp. In the special, the candidates decide this themselves.

On Thursday evening, the starting signal was given for “I’m a Celebrity – The Showdown of the Jungle Legends”. The almost three-hour show revolved mainly around the candidates moving in. Now, just a few hours after the broadcast, RTL has announced that one of them has to move out again straight away.

In the episode, which will be shown on RTL+ on the evening of August 16, you can see the celebrities sitting around the campfire and receiving a visit from Jan Köppen and Sonja Zietlow. “Anything can happen in this showdown and it’s full of surprises. And when I say anything can happen, I mean right now,” the presenter tells the residents.

Sonja Zietlow adds: “For the first time in the history of ‘I’m a Celebrity’, you – the stars – have decided who has to leave the camp first.” And for this star, the experiment in the jungle ends on day two. As RTL writes, “the voted-out jungle legend has to leave immediately and without saying goodbye.” It is now clear who it is. Read more about it here.

In the original jungle camp, the celebrities are protected from being kicked out for the first week. In the first seven days, the viewers choose the candidates for the test. It is not until the second week that the audience decides who has to leave the camp. In “I’m a Celebrity – The Showdown of the Jungle Legends”, however, everything is different.
