RTVE will be present at the Zinemaldia with two premieres: the long-awaited documentary by Carlos Saura on the world of art, ‘The walls speak’, and the new comedy by Cesc Gay, ‘Stories to not tell’. In addition, the cinema participated by the public channel will have an important presence in this 70th edition with four titles in the Official Section, all the Spanish films that will compete for the Golden Shell: ‘Girasoles Salvajes’, by Jaime Rosales; ‘The Rite of Spring’, by Fernando Franco; ‘La maternal’, by Pilar Palomero, and ‘Suro’, by Mikel Gurrea. He is also in ‘Cerdita’, by Carlota Pereda, and ‘El agua’, by Elena López Riera, programmed in the Zabaltegi-Tabakalera section, and in ‘As bestas’, by Rodrigo Sorogoyen, ‘Un año, una noche’, by Isaki Lacuesta, and ‘In the margins’, by Juan Diego Botto, which are included in Perlak.

On Wednesday, September 21, RTVE will present in a special screening at Kursaal 2 ‘The walls speak’, the long-awaited new documentary film by Carlos Saura about the origin of art and its relationship with the most avant-garde trends. Under the personal and unique prism of the renowned Aragonese filmmaker, the evolution and relationship of art with the wall as a canvas of creation is portrayed, from the first graphic revolutions in prehistoric caves to the most avant-garde expressions of urban art.

The great RTVE Gala on Thursday, September 22, at the Victoria Eugenia Theatre, will be the presentation in Spain of Historias para no Cuenta, by Cesc Gay. A fun choral comedy with Jose Coronado, Nora Navas, Javier Rey, Verónica Echegui, Chino Darín, Anna Castillo, Antonio de la Torre, Maribel Verdú, Quim Gutiérrez, Belén Cuesta and Alexandra Jiménez, among others. It narrates in a comedy key situations in which anyone could recognize themselves and would prefer not to explain, or even forget. The film will also be in the Special Presentations section of the Toronto International Film Festival, which takes place from September 8 to 18.
