14,000 signatures will be PR consultant Rudolf Fußi as a rival to SPÖ party leader Andreas Babler. However, he cannot check whether all the signatories are actually members of SPÖ – as required – because he has not yet been able to compare the list with the list of SPÖ members. At least two-thirds of the signatories provided their party’s membership number, Fussi says.
At the same time, he demanded that the SPÖ party leadership was acting “Dirty Campaign” against him and sent his medical files to several editorial offices.
Fussi clears the air
In order to prevent any alleged exposure, he made his medical records public, so to speak. He talked about, “Adult ADHD” to have, in addition it is a “vaccination victim”because the mRNA coronary vaccination made his rheumatism treatment ineffective and he had the worst rheumatism attacks again. As a relief he has in the meantime Smoked “10 to 15 joints a day”..
Corinna Milborn analyzes Fussi’s press conference
The alleged smear campaign was immediately rejected by the party headquarters. Fussi himself could not say where the party got the file.
In terms of content, the PR consultant again made a sharp distinction from the course of the federal party and made demands that surprised the Social Democrats, such as a reduction in corporate tax.
We “are” as individuals
Fussi spoke of “we” during the press conference, but at the same time he emphasized that his campaign was there only from himself. He is himself so far 100.000 Euros invest in his campaign.
The SPÖ has now been hit by Fussi’s accusations. Federal Managing Director Klaus Seltenheim announced in a broadcast that he would hand the matter over to a lawyer for a legal review: “The allegations and narratives are completely unfounded.”
Time.news Interview: The Rising Rivalry in SPÖ – An Insight with Rudolf Fußi
Time.news Editor: Welcome, Rudolf Fußi! Thank you for taking the time to discuss your ongoing signature campaign for the SPÖ executive chairman position. It seems there’s quite a lot at stake here. Let’s dive right in. You’ve publicly shared your medical records and details of your divorce due to suspicions of a smear campaign by the SPÖ. Can you tell us what prompted that decision?
Rudolf Fußi: Thank you for having me. Yes, it was a tough decision to make. I felt that the integrity of my campaign and my personal character were being attacked without justification. By releasing my medical records and personal history, I aimed to Reclaim agency over the narrative and demonstrate that I have nothing to hide.
Time.news Editor: That’s certainly a bold move. Now, regarding your signature campaign, you mentioned you have gathered 14,000 signatures. However, there’s a crucial verification process at play. Can you elaborate on the challenges you’re facing with confirming the signatories as SPÖ members?
Rudolf Fußi: Indeed. While I have a substantial number of signatures, I currently lack access to the official SPÖ membership list to verify whether these individuals are legitimate members, which is a requirement for my campaign. I know that at least two-thirds of the signatories provided their membership numbers, which is promising, but without further confirmation, it’s hard to assert the legitimacy of my campaign.
Time.news Editor: It must be frustrating to face such a hurdle, especially when the support seems tangible. How do you plan to overcome this challenge, and what steps are you taking to ensure these signatures count?
Rudolf Fußi: I’m in discussions with party officials to gain access to the membership list so we can proceed with verification. Transparency is crucial, and I want to ensure that my campaign reflects the genuine will of SPÖ members. I am also working on increasing public engagement and awareness around my candidacy to gather further support while tackling these hurdles.
Time.news Editor: Public engagement seems to be a vital aspect of any campaign. What message do you want to convey to SPÖ members as you navigate this rivalry with Andreas Babler?
Rudolf Fußi: The essence of my message is one of renewal and accountability. I believe SPÖ members deserve a leader who is transparent, responsive, and willing to address the pressing issues of our time. My candidacy is not just about opposing Babler; it’s about offering a fresh perspective that aligns with the core values of the SPÖ and the needs of our constituents.
Time.news Editor: It’s evident that your campaign is about more than just rivalry; it’s about principles. How do you see the landscape of SPÖ changing as you move forward, and what implications do you think your campaign could have on the party as a whole?
Rudolf Fußi: I believe we can bring about a healthy change within SPÖ by introducing ideas that resonate with our members. By fostering an environment of open dialogue and embracing constructive competition, we can revitalize the party and make it more attuned to the public’s needs. Ultimately, my campaign symbolizes a shift from the traditional politics of SPÖ toward a more inclusive and active party structure.
Time.news Editor: Those are powerful aspirations, Rudolf. As a final thought, what do you want SPÖ members to realize as they consider their options in this upcoming leadership race?
Rudolf Fußi: I want them to understand that they have the power to shape the future of our party. Every signature represents a voice demanding change and representation. I urge them to look beyond the surface, to engage with the ideas, and choose the path that aligns with their vision for the party’s future.
Time.news Editor: Thank you, Rudolf Füsi, for sharing your insights today. We wish you the best of luck with your campaign!
Rudolf Fußi: Thank you! It’s been a pleasure.
