The Leeds Marathon, which ran this Sunday, paid tribute to Rob Burrow. The former rugby league player, English and British international, has suffered from Charcot’s disease since the end of the 2010s. He took part in this race, which now bears his name.

After covering the 42 km in a wheelchair, his former teammate and friend, Kevin Sinfield, carried him to cross the line together. All in just over 4:22. Severely disabled Rob Burrow rode through the event in his three-wheeled wheelchair, pushed by riders, including Kevin Sinfield, who wore a jersey bearing his name.

They rubbed shoulders in the national team and at the Leeds Rhinos, where they won numerous trophies, including three World Club Challenge and seven Super League, the Franco-English rugby league championship.
