Apple Rumored to Introduce AirPods with USB-C Charging Case
Rumors have been swirling for months about the possibility of Apple launching AirPods with a USB-C-compatible charging case, and now we finally have some concrete information. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted back in 2022 that Apple would release AirPods with a USB-C charging case sometime this year.
However, it is still unclear whether the new charging case will be exclusive to the AirPods or if it will also be available for the AirPods Pro. With no further details provided by Kuo, Apple enthusiasts are left speculating about the potential upgrades that might accompany the new charging case.
Kuo had earlier mentioned that the fourth-generation AirPods, rumored to launch in the second half of 2024 or the first half of 2025, might see some significant changes. In another development, Apple’s annual iPhone event, named Wonderlust, has been scheduled for September 12th. Alongside the AirPods, it is expected that Apple will equip all its iPhone 15 models with a USB-C port to comply with the European Union’s regulations. This move will standardize the charging interface across devices.
