Shadrack Kenduiywo and Caroline Gitonga won the men’s and women’s races respectively during the 90th edition of Switzerland’s oldest road race.

The Kenyans took over the 90th edition of Morat-Fribourg this Sunday. The two members of the Austrian Run2gether team, Shadrack Kenduiywo (24 years old), for the men, and Caroline Gitonga (28 years old), for the women, were the fastest women over the queen’s distance ( 17.170 km).
He was the first person named to go solo to win in 51’43”. No one has done better in Switzerland’s oldest road race since compatriot Abraham Kipyatich, winner in 2014 with the event record (50’28”). Shadrack Kenduiywo succeeds another Kenyan, Elvis Chebor Tabarach, on the list.
