A vibrant display of student energy unfolded in Dijon, France, on Thursday, September 18, as a record 3,000 students from Burgundy Europe University participated in the annual Color Campus run. This year’s event surpassed the previous high of 2,800 participants set in 2024, marking a significant milestone for the 10th edition of the popular race.
The event, designed to foster community and celebrate student life, began with an energetic musical warm-up before participants embarked on a four-kilometer course, choosing to walk or run.
A Kaleidoscope of Color
The race itself was transformed into a spectacle of color, thanks to the use of nearly a ton of corn powder. Participants were doused in vibrant hues as they traversed the route, creating a visually stunning experience. The starting point was the Erasme esplanade, a central location within the university campus.
Student Leadership in Event Management
This year’s Color Campus benefited from the dedicated efforts of 50 students from the Staps management program at Burgundy Europe University. These students played a crucial role in the logistical planning and execution of the event, gaining valuable practical experience in event management. “The involvement of the Staps students was instrumental in ensuring a smooth and successful event,” a senior university official stated.
The Color Campus run continues to grow in popularity, demonstrating the strong sense of community and active lifestyle embraced by students at Burgundy Europe University. The event’s success underscores the importance of student-led initiatives and the power of colorful, engaging activities to bring a campus together.
