jpnn.com – The pair Darren Aurelius/Bernadine Anindya Wardana admitted that they had played their best in the final of the 2024 Badminton Asia Junior Championships (BAJC).
The mixed doubles who made their debut at BAJC 2024 had to be satisfied with being runners-up after losing to the Chinese pair, Lin Xiang Yi/Liu Yuan Yuan with a score of 12-21, 13-21 at the Amongrogo GOR, Yogyakarta, Sunday (7/7/2024).
After the match, the pair from the PB Djarum club admitted that they had tried to match the game of the 2024 Dutch Junior International champions.
However, by being more defensive, Darren/Bernadine practically could not develop their best game and finally gave up within 33 minutes.
“The opponent is superior, we have to evaluate and if we meet again we can avenge the defeat,” said Darren.

This result means Darren/Bernadine failed to follow the pair Leo Rolly Carnando/Indah Cahya Sari Jamil who previously won at the 2019 AJC in China.
At that time at the Suzhou Olympic Sports Center, Leo/Indah who appeared in the final match became champions after defeating Chinese representatives, Feng Yan Zhen/Lin Fang Ling with a score of 16-21, 22-20, 22-20.
