Russia approved a new scheme for obtaining and appealing traffic fines

by time news

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on the receipt and appeal of traffic fines issued for violations recorded by traffic cameras through the portal of state services. Such a document was published on the official Internet portal of legal information.

The decree comes into force on September 1 this year. It spelled out the technical requirements for appealing decisions on administrative offenses in this area using the designated electronic platform.

In addition, the document establishes new standards for obtaining such fines. So, the corresponding decree sent through the portal of public services will be considered handed to the person the next day after entering the system, even if the alleged violator himself did not see it. The rule applies only to persons who refuse to receive fines by regular mail.

If the person agreed to receive extracts from the traffic police in both ways, then the decision on the violation will be considered handed over if the user entered public services within seven days. In this case, it does not matter for what purpose the login was made. However, when the driver does not appear on the platform for a longer time, the fine will be delivered to him in the usual paper form.

The user can also refuse to receive fines through the public services portal. Subsequently, if desired, he has the right to change his decision by giving the appropriate consent through his personal account.
