Russia-Arab World Cooperation Forum in Marrakech: Mr. Bourita holds talks with several of his Arab counterparts
Marrakech – Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, Nasser Bourita, held, on Wednesday in Marrakech, a series of bilateral talks with several Arab foreign ministers, at the end of the 6th edition of the Russia-Arab World Cooperation Forum.
Mr. Bourita thus discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in areas of common interest with the head of affairs at the Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Taher Salem Al Baour, the Mauritanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Salem Ould Marzouk, and the Lebanese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdullah Bou Habib.
These bilateral meetings focused on ways to intensify cooperation in the commercial, economic and cultural fields, while reviewing the fruitful path of coordination between Morocco and Arab countries on various regional issues and ways to raise Arab-Arab relations to the expected levels in the interest of the peoples of the region.
It is also an opportunity to review the latest regional developments and the positions of the Kingdom of Morocco in favor of joint Arab action and coordination between Arab countries in areas relating to regional crises, particularly the Palestinian cause.
These bilateral meetings were held at the end of the work of the 6th edition of the Russia-Arab World Cooperation Forum, a regional meeting, which was held at the level of foreign ministers in accordance with the memorandum signed by the Arab League and Russia in 2009.
The importance of this Forum has been strengthened in recent years as a platform for exchanging views and coordinating positions on various issues at the regional and international levels, taking into consideration the common interests and priorities of the Arab and Russian sides in the political, economic and commercial fields.
