Su-35S fighters of the Eastern Military District (VVO) were relocated from the Khabarovsk Territory to Belarus. The crews will take part in testing the reaction forces of the Union State as part of the Allied Resolve-2022 exercises, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

“The Su-35S multi-role fighters of the Eastern Military District, involved in the verification of the reaction forces of the Union State, have completed their redeployment to Belarusian airfields,” the report says (quoted by TASS).

Having covered a distance of 8,000 km from the airfield in the Khabarovsk Territory, the crews made two intermediate landings at the airfields of the Central Military District, the ministry said.

Fighter routes were carefully worked out by aviation navigators. The possibilities of maximum non-stop flight of aircraft and weather conditions along the entire route were also taken into account. In the near future, the crews will study flight routes over the territory of Belarus, and then they will take up combat duty as part of checking the functioning of the unified air defense system of the Union State.

Earlier, gunners from the Eastern Military District and the Marine Corps of the Pacific Fleet (Pacific Fleet) arrived in Belarus to participate in the exercises.

The joint exercises of Russia and Belarus “Allied Resolve-2022” will be held in Belarus from February 10 to 20. The events will take place against the backdrop of Western accusations against Russia of preparing a military invasion of Ukraine.
