US President Joe Biden has warned that Russia could face dire consequences, including sanctions, if it invades Ukraine.
Speaking to reporters at the White House, Joe Biden said the United States did not want a “war situation” and that his country would support it if it made the necessary efforts to create a peaceful environment.
The United States is working to include Ukraine in its NATO alliance. Ukraine wants this too. But Russia fears that joining its NATO alliance with its neighbor Ukraine could pose a threat to national security. The United States has rejected Russia’s request not to include Ukraine in NATO.
Following this, Russia has concentrated one lakh troops on the border with Ukraine. Western nations, including the United States, are preparing their troops, with reports that Russia could launch a war on Ukraine at any time. The United States continues to discuss with European countries, including the United Kingdom, the steps to be taken in the event of a Russian war.
