Russia’s air defense intercepted and destroyed six Ukrainian drones over Bryansk, the governor of the Russian border region announced early this morning on the Telegram social network, as quoted by DPA.
There were no casualties or damage in the attack, the governor Alexander Bogomaz said, BTA reports.
Another drone strike was reported from Russia’s Lipetsk region, south of Moscow. An unmanned aerial vehicle crashed in the area of an electrical substation, but there were no injuries and the work of the station was not disrupted, the governor of the region, Igor Artamonov, informed this morning.
The DPA states that it cannot independently verify the allegations.
On the other hand, there were strong explosions near the Ukrainian port city of Odessa last night, local media reported. The head of the Odesa regional military administration, Oleg Kiper, called on the residents in “Telegram” to stay in the shelters until the fires are extinguished.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Air Force warned of possible ballistic missile attacks from the south. There is currently no information on the extent of the damage or possible casualties.
The port of Odessa has been the subject of numerous attacks, as it is an important hub for Ukrainian exports of grain and other goods across the Black Sea. Moscow has expressed suspicions that Ukrainian naval drones are being manufactured there.
