Over the past day in Russia, 791 deaths of coronavirus infection were registered, which was a new maximum figure since the beginning of the pandemic. The daily increase in new cases in the Russian Federation was 25,293 cases. 21 493 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours. Such information was published on Thursday, July 15, by the operational headquarters in Moscow.

According to official data, the largest number of deaths is in St. Petersburg. 108 people died there. In second place is Moscow (101 people). Most of the cases in the last day turned out to be in Moscow: the operational headquarters reports 5237 new cases of COVID-19 in the Russian capital. 7855 people recovered. In second place in terms of morbidity per day is the Moscow region, where 2,444 new cases of the disease were detected. In third place is St. Petersburg (1954 new cases).

In total, 5,882,295 cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in Russia for the entire period since the beginning of the pandemic. The total number of deaths from coronavirus infection is 146,069 people today. 5,278,976 patients recovered. 1,212,129 people are currently under medical supervision in the country.
