The European Union has already imposed various sanctions on Russia over its war on Ukraine. Now its focus is back on Putin’s 2-year-old daughters. The EU has also imposed an economic embargo on those daughters.
Putin’s daughters, Maria Vorontsova and Katarina Dikonova, are also on the EU’s list of banned individuals. Their assets have been frozen and they have been banned from traveling.
Meanwhile, the UK has announced an economic embargo on Putin’s daughters. Significantly, the UK has imposed sanctions on 1,200 Russian individuals and companies. Western nations together have frozen a total of 5 275 billion (approximately Rs. 27.5 trillion) in Russian assets. It is worth noting that this amount is 60 percent of Russia’s foreign exchange reserves.
