Russia has intensified its attack on Ukraine. Russia also dropped bombs on western cities.

Kiev,

Russia’s fierce war on Ukraine reached its 17th day yesterday.

Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine in protest of its accession to NATO.

Has intensified attacks

In this context, Ukrainian President Zhelensky announced a few days ago that he would abandon his decision to join NATO. The announcement was widely expected to end Russia’s war on Ukraine.

But on the contrary, Russian forces have intensified the war. This was evidenced by the Russian airstrikes on a maternity hospital in the Ukrainian port city of Mariupol, which demonstrated the brutality of the war. Three people, including a child, were killed.

Russia, which has launched a war claiming only Ukraine’s military positions as its target, has expanded its attacks on hospitals, schools and residential buildings.

Only the western cities of the country were considered safe in the context of Russian forces encircling the southern, eastern and northern cities of Ukraine.

Attack on western cities

Accordingly foreigners and Ukrainians trapped in the southern, eastern and northern cities migrated to the western cities. Those who wanted to leave the country also came to the western cities and from there to the neighboring countries.

In this situation, Russian forces began to attack the western cities of Ukraine yesterday. Intense attacks began early yesterday morning in 2 western cities, Lutsk and Ivano-Frankivsk. There were reports of missile strikes on airports in those cities.

Authorities said the two cities had been hit by a series of bombings, followed by sirens and warnings not to leave their homes.

Two Ukrainian soldiers have been killed in an airstrike by Russian forces in the city of Lutsk.

ண்டு Bombing once an hour

Russia’s response to the attacks, which began in western Ukraine, far from cities where Russian troops are concentrated, is seen as a sign that there are no safe havens in Ukraine. It also shows that Russia’s invasion has turned in a different direction.

Meanwhile, Russian forces have been fighting hard for more than two weeks to capture the capital, Kiev, but they are still unable to advance.

Satellite images show Russian forces concentrating on cities and airspace around Kiev to intensify attacks there.

Meanwhile, the mayor of the port city of Mariupol, Vadim Boychenko, said that Russian forces were bombing every 5 hours, leaving 4 lakh people stranded in hell for the past two days.

Putin approves of volunteers

As well as the Ukrainian central city of Dinifro was attacked by Russian forces for the first time yesterday. City officials said the bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a shoe factory, a kindergarten and an apartment building in the city.

In this context, it has been reported that Russia plans to recruit militants from Syria to fight alongside Russian troops in Ukraine.

The Russian Defense Ministry says about 16,000 volunteers have so far expressed interest in fighting in Russia and that Putin has agreed to allow volunteers to take part in the conflict.

1 lakh evacuation in 2 days

In the last two days alone, more than 1 million people have been evacuated as Russian forces intensify their offensive, according to Russian President Zhelensky.

He said, “We are doing everything we can to save our people from the cities that the enemy wants to destroy. People are being evicted through humanitarian channels. 1 lakh people have been evicted from cities including Sumi, Trostianets, Krasnopilia and Irbine in just 2 days. Although we have done everything necessary to build a humanitarian route, Russian troops have not stopped the attacks. ”

25 lakh as refugees

The UN says more than 2.5 million people have fled Ukraine since the war began. The refugee organization said.

The organization said in a statement: “This meaningless war has forced millions to flee their homes. The number of refugees fleeing Ukraine in that category has reached 25 million. In addition, about 20 lakh people have been internally displaced. ”
