Russia’s missile test has raised concerns as Russia says it is withdrawing troops from Ukraine. Russia has successfully tested hypersonic, cruise and nuclear missile missiles. The test was released by Russian military chief Valery Gerasimov. Gerasimov said all the missiles he tested hit the target.
The main purpose of the missile tests was to make the performance of Russia’s strategic counterattack more efficient. Russian General Staff Valery Gerasimov added that the aim was to ensure a precise attack on the enemy. Russia says it is conducting military exercises to improve its military capabilities to ensure better performance in enemy attacks.
The missile test took place at a Russian military base in Belarus. Russia said in a statement that all missile tests had been successful and that military exercises, including Tu-95 fighter jets and submarines, were underway.
Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden’s response is that the possibility of war cannot be ruled out. Russia reiterates that it has no plans to invade Ukraine. But it also wants reassurance that Ukraine will not be part of NATO. Russia has also demanded that Ukraine never join NATO.
