Russian efforts to recruit foreign citizens to fight in Ukraine have come under the scrutiny of British intelligence, which has revealed Moscow’s latest efforts to attract new recruits. Advertisements in English promising significant cash rewards and benefits are just one of the tactics used to attract foreign volunteers.

This is stated in the report British intelligence.

Analysts note that Russia has stepped up its recruitment in recent years from countries ranging from neighboring states such as Armenia and Kazakhstan to migrants from Central Asia, India and Nepal. This indicates Moscow’s desire to provide the required number of soldiers without internal mobilization.

However, while Russian authorities may have some success in attracting foreign nationals, analysts suggest that many do not have military experience and may be recruited under various deceptive pretexts or through the use of financial incentives.

It is noted that Russia offers foreign citizens a monthly salary of $2,200, along with the opportunity to obtain a Russian passport, free medical care and training.

British analysts also point to the possibility that these recruits are likely to be integrated into existing units rather than into special military units, as the Russian advertisements claim.

According to experts, such practices may indicate that Russia is having to look for unconventional methods to maintain a high rate of personnel influx due to the significant losses it has suffered during military operations in Ukraine.

Thus, the recruitment of foreign citizens becomes an integral part of Russia’s strategy in conducting military operations abroad, although this practice causes concern and outrage in the international community.

Earlier, Kursor reported that NATO doubts that Putin will announce a general mobilization in Russia. NATO said the Kremlin is balancing between strengthening its military potential and minimizing internal political and economic risks.
