Russia kidnaps 11 mayors; Ukraine with allegations

Ukraine says Russia has kidnapped 11 of its mayors. The allegations were made by Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister Irina Vershechuk. They said the mayors of Kyiv, Kherson and Kharkiv were abducted. They called on all organizations, including the Red Cross and the United Nations, to work together to bring them back.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Ganna Malieron has claimed that Ukraine has regained control of the entire Kyiv region, including Irpin, Bucha and Gostomel. The Ukrainian Attorney General’s Office confirmed yesterday that the shooting took place while filming a clash in the Vyshgorod district north of the capital. There are two bullet wounds on the body.
