Amsterdam: The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has ordered Russia to suspend all military operations in the wake of the ongoing Ukraine-Russia conflict. The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has voted against Russia’s operations in Ukraine, including former Justice Dalvir Bhandari. Bhandari is one of the 15 sitting judges of the International Court of Justice, part of the United Nations. He was involved in court proceedings online because of the Kovid situation.

However, the court said it was well aware of the humanitarian situation in Ukraine and was deeply concerned about the use of Russian forces against Ukraine. The court observed that all countries must act in accordance with international law. Thirteen of the 15 judges ruled against Russia. With this, the order against Russia was passed by 13 votes to 2.

Russia and China were opposed when judges from the United States, Slovakia, France, Morocco, Somalia, Uganda, Jamaica, Lebanon, Japan, Germany, Australia and India voted to stop Russia’s operations in Ukraine.
