New Delhi: Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov on Saturday said his country is committed to fighting terrorism together with India and other nations. His comments came after the deadly terrorist attack on a concert hall in the Russian capital Moscow on March 22. More than 140 people were killed and many were injured in that attack.
The Russian ambassador wrote on his “Prime Minister Narendra Modi, leaders of political parties, ministers, senior officials and public activists have made strong statements of support for Russia and rejection of terrorism in all its forms,” he said.
Ambassador Denis Alipov also appreciated the sentiments shown by the people of India and other countries towards the victims, their families and the Russian government. Ambassador Alipov said the Embassy continues to receive messages of condolence condemning the deadly terrorist attack near Moscow on March 22 and expressing sympathy over the enormous loss of life and property. Expressing his solidarity with the people of Russia, PM Modi had strongly condemned the heinous terrorist attack and said, ‘Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims. In this hour of grief, India stands in solidarity with the government and people of Russia.
