Russia overtakes Iran in sanctions

Moscow: Russia has overtaken Iran to become the world’s most heavily embargoed country.

The New York-based sanctions watchdog, Castilem dot Al, made the announcement. Prior to the occupation of Ukraine, there were 2754 international sanctions on Russia. 2778 more came after the occupation began. There are currently a total of 5532 sanctions. There are 3616 sanctions against second-placed Iran. Switzerland (568), European Union (518), Canada (454), Australia (413), and the U.S. (243), Britain (35) and Japan (35) are the countries that have imposed sanctions on Russia.
