Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova made a statement in light of the assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump.

- Zakharova noted that instead of financing “terrorists from Kyiv,” the United States should direct these funds to ensuring its own internal security.
- She also stated that the Mirotvorets website is under the protection of the United States and serves as a list for the elimination of public figures.
- In addition, the Russian representative emphasized that the United States needs to reconsider its policy aimed at inciting hatred towards political opponents, other countries and peoples.
“Exactly 2 months ago, I drew attention to the fact that in the US they are literally encouraging the incitement of hatred towards political opponents, and I also gave examples of the American tradition of assassination attempts and murders of presidents and presidential candidates,” Zakharova noted on her Telegram channel, referring to her post about the history of assassination attempts on American politicians.
