Russia announced five Ukrainian drone attacks in the border area and over the Black Sea last night, BTA reported, based on information from DPA.

According to TASS, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that one drone was shot down by the Russian Air Defense Forces in southwestern Russia’s Belgorod region near the border with Ukraine, and the other four over the Black Sea.

So far no reports of casualties and destruction.

It is also not possible to verify that all drones have been shot down. In Ukrainian drone strikes, Russia, which has been waging war against its neighbor for almost two years now, often announces only the successes of its air defense.

As part of its defensive actions against the Russian invasion, Ukraine has also subjected the territory of Russia to shelling with missiles and drones – both its border areas and the interior of the country. But the number of casualties and destruction is disproportionate to that caused by Russian attacks on Ukraine.

According to the Russian authorities, several people died yesterday in shelling of the Russian city of Belgorod. According to the latest data, seven people died and 18 were injured. One of the victims was reported to be a child.
