Kiev; Russian forces have been attacking Ukraine for more than 50 days, destroying seven military bases in 24 hours. Russia, which has been waging war on Ukraine since February 24 in protest of its accession to NATO, is intensifying its offensive to seize key cities. Russian forces retreating from the capital, Kiev, are advancing, targeting the east.
Accordingly, Russia is launching a final offensive aimed at capturing the city of Mariupol completely. Russia says it has taken control of the port, with 1160 Ukrainian troops surrendering so far.
