Russia has opposed Sweden’s supply of arms to Ukraine.

Following Ukraine, Sweden and its neighbor Finland are seeking membership in NATO.
Russia has strongly opposed this. Russian President Kremlin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that the move would affect stability in the European Union. He also noted that the Swedish move was heading towards a coalition conflict. Russia has also urged Sweden not to provide arms to Ukraine.
Sweden says a Russian warplane has encroached on their airspace. The breach took place in the Baltic Sea near Bornholm Island.
Swedish Defense Minister Peter Huldquist has said that as soon as a Russian warplane entered Swedish airspace, it was chased by Swedish air force planes and a Russian plane was photographed.
He noted that this violation was unacceptable and unprofessional. It is noteworthy that in a similar incident in early March, four Russian warplanes flew into Swedish airspace as they flew over the Baltic Sea.
