According to Mayor Oleksandr Sankiewicz, the missiles were aimed at civilian residential buildings in Mykolaiv, with at least one building hit. “There are loud explosions across the city. Stay in the shelters,” the mayor announced on his telegram channel during the night.
According to the Ukrainians, a number of missiles hit the building during the night. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zalansky said immediately after the attack that “Russian terrorism is conscious and deliberate. This is not a mistake, this is not an accidental missile strike.” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov responded to Zalanski: “Our military forces are not targeting civilian targets.”
