Russia-Ukraine War hold third round of talks on Monday

On the 10th day of the Russian occupation of Ukraine, the two countries agreed to hold peace talks. The third round of Russia-Ukraine peace talks will take place on Monday. Ukraine has announced its readiness for talks. Discussions will focus on issues including defection. Earlier in the day, an agreement was reached to evacuate civilians trapped in Ukraine. The Ukrainian envoy said the decision was made in a three – hour humanitarian corridor. But he made it clear that he was not satisfied with the second round of talks either.

Russia today announced a partial ceasefire in Ukraine. But Ukraine says Russia has not kept its word. The ceasefire was announced to evacuate people from Mariopol on the shores of the Azov Sea. But the evacuation of Ukraine was halted as Russia continued to attack the humanitarian corridor. The city of Mariupol continues to be an obstacle to Russia. Russia is trying to capture the city completely.

Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin has spoken out against the announcement of a no – fly zone over Ukraine. Putin said imposing a no-fly zone over Ukraine would exacerbate the conflict and, if implemented, be seen as a declaration of war. Putin said Russia was moving ahead with its intended military action in Ukraine. Earlier, Ukrainian President Selensky called for a NATO air ban. The proposal was to prevent a Russian attack. But NATO rejected the demand.

Meanwhile, the United Nations says 351 civilians have been killed so far in the Russian occupation. 707 people were injured. The United Nations’ monitoring session said the numbers were likely to rise, despite the figures.
