In the first round of talks, Ukraine demanded a complete withdrawal of troops. Meanwhile, the UN General Assembly passed a resolution against Russia. The resolution against Russia was supported by 141 countries while 5 countries opposed it. 35 countries abstained. India left. It has a total of 193 members. Thirty-five countries, including China and India, abstained.

Russia, along with Eritrea, North Korea, Syria and Belarus, opposed the resolution. The UN resolution strongly criticized Vladimir Putin’s statement that Russia should leave Ukraine immediately and use nuclear weapons.

Ukraine’s UN ambassador to Ukraine Sergei Kislyatsya has said that Russia is now targeting not only the occupation but also the massacre of Ukrainians. India’s Permanent Representative TS Thirumurthy has said that India is deeply concerned about the deteriorating situation in Ukraine.

Russia has been attacking Ukraine since February 24. At the same time, the Russian envoy claimed that they were only defending themselves under Article 51 of the UN. But this argument was rejected by the Western countries. They also point out that Russia’s conduct is a violation of Article 2 of the UN. They also demanded that the problem in Ukraine be resolved as soon as possible.
