24 Ukrainian children who were taken to Russia since the beginning of the war, were recently returned to the territory of Ukraine, CNN reported today (Monday). “This was one of the most difficult rescue missions. The Russians interrogated the children for 13 hours, and later forced them to participate in propaganda,” he claimed and added: “The main thing is that now the children are at home with their families, they dare to live and be happy again. We are grateful to the volunteers of the charity fund ‘Save Ukraine’ ‘, who made incredible efforts to rescue the little Ukrainians from Russian captivity. We will bring home all the Ukrainians illegally detained by Russia.”
Last February, a report published and even supported by the US State Department, claimed Moscow’s involvement in an extensive network of camps where children underwent “political re-education”. At least 20,000 Ukrainian children have been forcibly removed from their homes since the beginning of the war, according to the Office of the President of Ukraine. According to the Russians, they are taking the children out of the territory of Ukraine, in order to “bring them to safe territory”. But the Ukrainians strongly oppose this claim, and made it clear that thousands of cases of this type are already under investigation.
