Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov said that the reasons for the migration crisis on the eastern borders of the European Union are associated with “attempts by the West to impose their vision of democracy on the world.” His words are quoted by Newsweek.
Antonov believes that such US activities have led to a series of regional conflicts. He pointed to the situation in the Middle East and North Africa as examples.
The diplomat urged to abandon the language of sanctions and sit down at the negotiating table with Minsk. In his opinion, this is the only way to solve the problem.
