Three associations carried out this work, reports the Moscow daily Kommersant : the Sova Analytical Information Center, which investigates issues of extremism and xenophobia, the OVD-Info platform, which provides legal aid to participants in protest actions, and the Center for the Defense of the Rights of media. The three structures are registered in the federal register of “foreign agents”, and as such are subject to enormous constraints on the part of Russian justice.
