Russia has long been angry with Western nations, led by NATO, over the fact that those countries supply Ukraine with weapons used against Russia in the war in Ukraine.
Today (Monday) the tone in Russia seems to be rising, as the chairman of the Security Committee of the Duma, the Russian parliament, threatened that if Western arms shipments to Ukraine continue, “Russia will bomb government buildings and the parliament in Ukraine.”
He further said that as Russian President Putin said, “We have been hit in new locations that so far we have avoided hitting. I would like to emphasize and draw your attention to the fact that so far we have not shelled the offices of the Ukrainian General Staff and the Ministry of Defense. In addition, we have not yet touched on the Brada (Ukrainian Parliament ZB).
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said today in a threatening tone that: “If the regime in Kiev accepts long-range missiles, we will move their launchers to such a point that will not endanger Russia’s supporters on Ukrainian soil and Russia itself.”
Earlier today, British Prime Minister Johnson Johnson spoke with Ukrainian President Zalansky. According to Zalansky, the two discussed continued military support.
Johnson wrote after today’s call: “Obviously the Ukrainian people will not bow to Russian cruelty. We are uncompromising in our mission to ensure that Ukraine is protected and supported in the long run. “
