The main part is aimed at health care, social security of the population and support for small and medium-sized businesses. The money allocated by the Russian government covered the total costs of overcoming the pandemic by 71.6%.
“The total amount of additional expenses due to the implementation of measures in the regions to prevent the consequences of coronavirus infection in 2020 amounted to 1,093.6 billion rubles.”
Per capita costs of dealing with a pandemic “differ significantly” by region. The largest volume of expenditures falls on the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug (32.1 thousand rubles), the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (29 thousand) and Moscow (27.1 thousand).
