Russian spending in mobile applications for the year exceeded $ 1.5 billion

The average Russian spends 4 hours 10 minutes a day in mobile applications (in 2020 – 3 hours 48 minutes). According to this indicator, Russia also took 11th place in the world ranking. Mobile apps take longer for Russian users than watching TV, which takes an average of 3 hours 31 minutes a day, according to Mediascope.

TikTok has become the most popular app in the country in terms of both time spent on it and the number of downloads. Telegram, WhatsApp, Instagram and GetContact were also among the leaders in terms of the number of downloads last year.

Russians also began to spend more time in streaming service applications. The number of hours increased in 2021 by 61% compared to the pre-pandemic 2019.In the world, the largest increase was recorded only in Indonesia – 140%.
