When inaugurating the construction of the Public Market and the paving of streets, in the municipality of La Grandeza, Governor Rutilio Escandón Cadenas stressed that, thanks to the responsible and efficient use of public resources, in Chiapas works and actions that pay for the strengthening of the urban image, trade and economy of the towns.
“In Chiapas, those times of rich government with poor people are over. With the Fourth Transformation, luxuries and superficial expenses were left behind, since all the resources we save and the economies we generate are invested in the people. We walk at ground level and efficiently manage the budget to make it perform and have enough scope to carry out the most sensitive proposals of the people”, he pointed out.
When visiting with the tenants the new facilities of the Public Market, in which more than 18.9 million pesos were invested, the president expressed his satisfaction at verifying the materialization of the dream that the people of this municipality have a wide space , dignified, adequate and modern to market and supply the population with basic necessities, after years of being in poor condition due to structural damage to its infrastructure.
He highlighted that, thanks to the vision of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, of including the southeastern states in his development plan, in Chiapas it has been possible to promote actions in health, education, security, highlighting the construction of the Mayan Train, the rehabilitation of the passenger and cargo train that will pass from the Trans-Isthmic, in Oaxaca to the north of the state, among other works that will offer the population greater opportunities for growth.
On behalf of the tenants of the Municipal Market of La Grandeza, Abisaí García Morales thanked the State Government for listening and responding to their requests, and explained that with the delivery of this work, more than 100 families are benefited with a decent place to be able to accommodate and trade their products.
For his part, the Secretary of Public Works, Ángel Carlos Torres Culebro, maintained that this integral work is of great importance, since it will allow producers from La Grandeza and the Sierra region to market their products, which will be reflected in the strengthening of the economy and greater well-being. “This is a sign that we are a government that works honestly, which is why the resources are enough to invest in works that benefit the people of Chiapas.”
Within this framework, the president cut the inaugural ribbon for the paving of the first west extension street of the municipal seat, where he pointed out that with the rehabilitation of this road, built with hydraulic concrete, not only the economy of the population is strengthened, but also which is given a more modern urban face.
He instructed the head of Public Works to be aware of the municipalities of the Sierra, so that they invest in more infrastructure works, such as the start of the project for the maintenance of the highway that connects the municipalities of the area and remains in good conditions.
Finally, the mayor of La Grandeza, Jorge Luis González Vázquez, explained that the presence of the governor helps to strengthen the actions that are carried out to provide well-being to the people, since he is the one who facilitates and makes possible the efforts to solve the needs that they have
He stressed that with the dignity of the municipal market and the rehabilitation of streets, progress is being made in the municipality.
