Rutilio Escandón inaugurates rehabilitation of Central Street in Tuxtla Gutiérrez

During the inauguration of the rehabilitation of Central Street, in the city of Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Governor Rutilio Escandón Cadenas highlighted the joint effort being promoted in Chiapas to improve the capital’s road infrastructure, through comprehensive, functional and quality that favor mobility, safety and contribute to the transformation of the urban image.

After touring this work, in which the hydraulic and sanitary services were also improved to contribute to the care of the environment, the president expressed his satisfaction that, thanks to the work in unity and the transparent and efficient administration of the resources, they are taking care of various problems of the state, such as the reconstruction of this street, which, he said, is emblematic, historical and fundamental in the growth of the city.

“The idea of ​​rebuilding Central Street was the right decision, because it is necessary to strengthen the center of the state, with a pleasant, modern and dynamic capital to live and invest in. This city, where important business, health, commerce, industry and educational services are concentrated, is a place that has given us a lot, and the least we can do, now that we have the opportunity to govern, is to help it grow even more. ”, he pointed out.

In this sense, Escandón Cadenas explained that, in conjunction with the City Council, the rescue of public parks and walkways of the Sabinal River is being carried out; actions to remove silt from rivers and streams; fumigation campaigns against dengue, as well as the rehabilitation and construction of Wastewater Treatment Plants in municipalities on the outskirts of the capital, reforestation and permanent cleaning of the Sumidero Canyon, and the construction of overpasses that will connect the South and North bypasses, among others.

“The legacy that we are going to leave to Tuxtla Gutiérrez is the conservation of the environment, of biodiversity, the protection of ecosystems, so that we can live better, because if we pollute and do not take care of the flora and fauna, we are condemned to become extinct. . For this reason, I ask the citizens to continue working together so that these actions are maintained and we can have a better quality of life, ”he said.

On behalf of the beneficiaries of the Barrio Colón, Emilio Cancino Rojas recognized the commitment of the State and Municipal Governments to promote works that contribute to modernity and development, through the recovery of public spaces that represent history and identity for the Tuxtlecos, proof of this is the Sabinal River, which today is sanitized and in full recovery of its natural spaces. “Any action that pays to beautify our capital city must be worthily recognized.”

Finally, the mayor of Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Carlos Morales Vázquez, recounted the actions undertaken jointly to achieve the recovery of public spaces for the benefit of improving the urban image of the city, among which, he highlighted, is the Sabinal River which, after many years, is free of household discharges and is getting cleaner.

Present were: the deputy and president of the Finance Commission of the State Congress, Felipe Granda Pastrana; the municipal secretary of Public Works, Jorge Humberto Gómez Reyes, as well as members of the municipal council and neighbors of the area.
