BUTEMBO – The news is delivered on the evening of this Saturday, March 25, 2023 by the communication cells of the FARDC-UPDF coalition and Sokala1 operations. A total of 20 terrorists from the Democratic and Allied Forces ADF were neutralized in the Ruwenzori sector along the Nzelube-Lusulubi river. It was during a long confrontation which opposed the FARDC to these jihadists.
4 AK47 type weapons were also recovered. A large quantity of war ammunition, 11 Korans and several other war effects including 7 pairs of Congolese army uniforms were also recovered by the Congolese army.
Faced with strikes from the Congolese-Ugandan armies, some terrorists fled to the forest commonly known as Ngandu in Virunga National Park.
The Ugandan army, which joined the FARDC, continued until the evening these ADF terrorists in this direction, informs a press release of these two armies.
