Ryo Yoshizawa has appeared in various works since his debut in 2009 at the age of 15, and this year marks his 15th anniversary since his debut. It has been decided that his photo book “Profile” will be released as the first installment of his 15th anniversary project.
This photo book contains many unused cuts from the “Ryo Yoshizawa 2024.4 → 2025.3 Calendar” released in February. From the shooting stage, all the staff members thought, “It would be a waste to just have a calendar!” and decided to release a photo book in order to deliver to everyone the many shots that could not be captured.
In 2023, during the last year of my 20s, I chose locations near Hokkaido, Kyoto, and Kanto to photograph seasonal scenery, Japan’s magnificent nature, and prestigious buildings.
It contains many valuable shots of Yoshizawa’s various facial expressions that could not be shown in the calendar, as well as monochrome photos and portrait photos taken by photographer Toshiya Arai, making it a content that allows you to fully enjoy the 29-year-old Yoshizawa. I am.
In line with the title of the photo book, “Profile,” Yoshizawa, who turned 30 this year, will have a page looking back on his works from birth to his debut, as well as talk about the making of the shoot, his memories from the time of the shoot, and his aspirations in his 30s. Also included is a DVD containing interview footage.
Ryo Yoshizawa’s photo book “Profile” will be available for pre-order from April 13th. Amuse’s official online shop “A!SMART” will also release a special BOX version that will be a limited edition for the first time. The special BOX version includes a 15th anniversary commemorative “photo T-shirt” with one carefully selected photo from among the cuts published in the photo book, as well as a cut taken on February 1, 2024, his 30th birthday. The instax style card used is included.
