Lotte falls to 8th place
Hanwha Eagles’ Ryu Hyun-jin has reached the 10th win mark in the KBO League season for the first time in 13 years. Hanwha also escaped a long 5-game losing streak and rose to 7th place.
Ryu Hyun-jin started in the 2024 Shinhan Solbank KBO League game against the Lotte Giants held at Sajik Stadium in Busan on the 13th and pitched 6 innings, allowing only 1 run. He gave up 6 hits and 1 walk while striking out 3 batters.

However, with runners on 1st and 2nd base and 2 outs, Reyes hit into a double play to shortstop off of the new pitcher, Kim Seo-hyun, and the gap could not be narrowed any further.
Hanwha added one more point in the 9th inning on a wild pitch from the opposing team, sealing the victory.
Hanwha, which broke its five-game losing streak, overtook Lotte (59 wins, 4 draws, 68 losses) and rose to 7th place (61 wins, 2 draws, 69 losses), keeping alive its slim hopes of making it to the postseason.
Meanwhile, the games scheduled to be held on this day at Jamsil (NC Dinos-Doosan Bears) and Munhak (LG Twins-SSG Landers) were postponed due to rain. These games were scheduled for the 24th.
