AMD’s Expected Launch of Ryzen 8000G Processor Series Features Radeon 780M Internal Display

The much-anticipated launch of AMD’s Ryzen 8000G processor series is almost certain, and among the lineup, the Ryzen 7 8700G is set to feature the Radeon 780M internal display. Recent benchmarks on the website Geekbench 6 have revealed the graphics performance benchmarks, showing a close comparison to NVIDIA’s past mid-range graphics card, the GeForce GTX 1060.

According to the Geekbench 6 data, the Ryzen 8700G’s Radeon 780M internal display boasts a clock speed of 2.9 GHz, with a score of 29244 points in OpenCL and 35427 points in Vulkan.

In comparison, the GTX 1060, launched in 2016, has an OpenCL score ranging from 29809 to 28875 and an average Vulkan score of around 35303.

While the graphics performance of the Radeon 780M is only on par with independent graphics cards from almost 10 years ago, it has found use in many handheld consoles such as the ROG Ally and Lenovo Legion Go. The actual game performance has proven to be more than sufficient for simple leisure and entertainment needs, as long as users do not require high-end graphic demands.
