Centurion: Indian captain Virat Kohli, who returned unbeaten in the second innings of the Centurion Test (SA vs IND), will end 2021 without scoring a single international century. Not only was Kohli out for a low score, but it was even more disappointing that he was dismissed in the second innings for the same mistake.

His body language on his way back to the dressing room made it clear that Kohli was utterly disappointed with the way he looked. Kohli, who scored 18 off 32 balls, had scored 35 in the first innings. Kohli, who survived a strong LBW appeal before lunch, was out on the first ball of Marco Jansen after lunch.

Batting legend Sunil Gavaskar slammed Kohli’s shot selection during a live commentary. Gavaskar said that Kohli’s batting was surprising as he was out of the stumps on the first ball after lunch.

Kohli will return in 2021 without scoring a single international century as he ended the century without a century. For the first time in his career, Kohli has not scored a century in two consecutive years. This year, Kohli has contributed only 521 runs in 11 matches at an average of 28.21. Kohli has scored just four half-centuries in total this year.
