The IDF’s “Saar 6” ships have made their first operational attack in the sea, hitting a facility for the production of weapons, an outpost, and an observation post of the Hamas naval force. These new and sophisticated vessels are now deployed within the borders of the maritime space, and were able to accurately hit a wide variety of targets and threats at long ranges during the attack. The ships are equipped with advanced “Gabriel 5” missile systems and other combat systems, making them a crucial part of Israel’s naval defense system.
The “Saar 6” ships are also responsible for protecting strategic assets of the State of Israel, including gas rigs, and are capable of carrying out precise strikes against enemy targets. The ships operate in cooperation with both the air and ground forces, constantly engaged in ongoing dialogue with the command conference. The crew’s high morale and readiness for action have been highlighted by Lt. Col. Sharel, commander of one of the assault ships 6.
“We will do everything so that every home in Israel can live in peace and safety – and so that Hamas and any terrorist organization that tries to harm us will understand the heavy price they will pay,” declared Lt. Col. Sharel.
