Santhanam starrer ‘Sabapathy’ directed by Srinivasa Rao. Produced by C. Ramesh Babu on behalf of RK Entertainment, the film stars Preity Verma in the lead role, along with MS Bhaskar, Cook with clown fame and Vamsi.
The film will be released in theaters on the 19th and will be released by Gopuram Films across Tamil Nadu.
‘Sabapathy’ crew met journalists in Chennai. Speaking about the film, actor Santhanam said, “I have played the role of a stunner in this film. The film talks about how people with such a problem suffer and how they are rejected by some and will be a favorite good family comedy film for all parties. I will not talk much in this film. But, people around me talk too much and make me laugh.
When director Srinivasa Rao told me this story I said four corrections. It took him a long time to change that. The reason is that to that extent he had set the story very elegantly. Despite the correction I made, it took him a long time to make it so as not to have any effect on the story. This will not be a Santhanam film. The film ‘Sabapathy’ will be in the minds of the fans. ” said.
Director Srinivasa Rao said, “This film is an opportunity after 8 years of continuous effort. Thanks to producer Ramesh Kumar and Santhanam for giving me this opportunity. Fans will realize when they watch the movie that this movie is different. Santhanam has never acted in such a role. His performance and the performance of MS Bhaskar will be much talked about. The title Sabapathy is owned by AVM. There are still fans of the full-length comedy film released under that title. So, I directed this film without compromising the dignity of that film. With the comedy in this film, I have said many messages. Mystery and sentiment are all present in the film. Inferior people give birth to inferior offspring and, thus, propagate their inferiority. The story of this film will be in such a way as to erase that grievance from our minds. It will definitely be a fan favorite. ” said.
Actor MS Bhaskar said, “There is more to laughter than starring in this film. I played Santhanam’s father in A1. In it I spoke of the clean Madras. I have spoken pure Tamil in this film. Santhanam and I have been getting used to being brothers and sisters since the early days. The understanding we had helped me make this character better. Everyone who has starred in this film has acted wonderfully. Usually when the shooting of one film is over we go to the next shoot. But, I was worried when the shooting of this film was over. Director Srinivasa Rao has filmed the wonderful story in the most wonderful way. This film will definitely be a huge hit. ” said.
