Massive sabotage was carried out on the network equipment of French telecommunications operators Bouygues and SFR throughout France.

As reported by Day.Az, this was reported by the newspaper Le Parisien.

According to her, cables of these operators were cut in the departments of Herault, Buch-du-Rhône, Oise, Meuse, Drôme and Aude on Monday night. According to preliminary data, a total of 28 incidents were recorded, most of which affected fixed lines. So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the incident.

It is claimed that the sabotage did not affect the holding of the Olympic Games.

The newspaper recalls that the day before, a telephone relay antenna was also set on fire near Toulouse. Near the crime scene, unknown persons left the inscription “No to the Olympic Games”, in connection with which the media suggested that this sabotage could have been committed by opponents of the Olympic Games from among the ultra-left activists.

On the opening day of the Paris Olympics on July 26, the French National Railways Company reported a series of arson attacks on signaling systems. One attempt was prevented. Many trains were delayed or cancelled. The incident affected about 800,000 passengers. On Monday, Minister Delegate for Transport Patrice Vergriet said that all high-speed train routes had resumed normal operation. Of the 800,000 passengers potentially affected, 700,000 were able to travel, he said.
