Sangathara means remover of sorrow. Chaturthi is the fourth day after the new moon and the full moon. Sangathara Chaturthi is especially a day of removing problems. This day is also called Sankashti Chaturthi.
Lord Ganesha is considered the remover of obstacles and the usher of success. One should visit Ganesha temples and pay obeisance. The easiest offering to Lord Ganesha is to break a coconut. Garlanding of karukamala and erikin flower are all special.
Karu and Mukooti can be submitted. Ganesha homam can also be performed. Kozhukatta can be offered. Fasting is also good. Chanting as many Ganesha mantras as possible is also a cure for evil. If you please Lord Ganesha, all obstacles will be removed.
Pazhavangadi, Kotarakkara, Idapalli, Pampa, Madhur, Thazhatala and Batheri Ganesha temples are famous. Apart from this, all the temples have Ganesha as sub-deity. Thiruvanchi pool and Kozhikode thali temple are famous among them.
