Angola, on assuming the presidency of SADC, from the teaching point of view, opens up an opportunity to draw from the experience of the nine member countries that make up the ranking of the best universities in Africa and the world.

In my opinion, an opportunity opens up for the Higher Education sector, during the summit to create connections with the nine member countries of the region that are well positioned in the education chapter, as is the case of South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Incidentally, if the member countries create a qualitative assessment of teaching at the regional level, so as not to depend on other continents, since we could assess the quality of teaching on the continent through comparative teaching.

If we deepen our commitment to research and communication, we can have positive results in a short time. For this to happen, it is necessary that the Teaching Institutions, Public and Private, of the countries create a permanent cooperation dialogue for the development of education and learning in the Universities of the region.

In Angola, the Summit takes place under the motto: “Human and financial capital: The main factors for the sustainable industrialization of the SADC region”, for the Republic of Angola, it does not derive from mere chance, but rather from the main challenges and opportunities that the country intends to achieve , via the presidency’s strategy and action plan already approved, and clearly indicates what is expected of citizens, families and institutions.

The event takes place from the 8th to the 17th of August, in the country’s capital, becoming the center of discussions on themes, subjects and actions related to SADC, which should hold on the 17th of August the 43rd Summit of Heads of State and Government .
