What is the plot of the film
Tobin Frost is a former CIA agent who, 10 years after leaving his job, is captured and taken to a “safe house” to be subjected to interrogation under torture by his ex-comrades.
Meanwhile, a team of mercenaries attacks the house and kills almost all the agents. The only survivor takes Tobin away, it’s Matt Weston. The two will have to team up to escape the mercenaries.
During the escape, Frost tries to convince his companion to distance himself from his superiors. Thus, questions arise from Weston and the alleged corruption within the world’s intelligence agencies.
Suspicions about Weston then continue, revelations about corruption, and a microchip containing explosive information.

Towards the end the truth about the microchip eh betrayals within the CIA. A traitor is discovered and the situation takes a turn for the worse during a shootout. Weston is injured but he does not lose his determination and strength take Frost’s side, thus he defeats the enemy and gets a promotion in the CIA.

At the beginning the production had decided to set the story between favelas of Rio De Janeiro. We changed our mind for security reasons.
What story is it inspired by?
There are no certainties about this, but spectators who have had the opportunity to see the film have noticed that there is a reference to the character of Captain Hits, played by Steve McQueen in “The great escape” (1963). In particular, we talk about the scene where Matt Weston bounces a tennis ball against a wall at the beginning of the film.

Biography and career of Daniel Espinosa
Daniel Espinosa is a director, screenwriter and film producer Swede of Chilean origin.
He graduated in 2003 from the National Film School in Denmark. He made his debut with the feature film entitled “Babylon disease” in 2004. In 2007 he directed the Danish production film “Out of Love”.
In 2010 he worked on his third film, “Fast cash” which was one of the biggest cinematic successes in Sweden at the time. In 2012 you directed your first English-language film “Safe House – No one is safe”.
In 2015 he worked on the film adaptation of the novel “Bambino 44” by Tom Rob Smith and in 2017 he is back at the cinema with a sci-fi thriller film set in space, “Life”. This is his second collaboration with actor Ryan Reynolds.
