Hermosillo, Sonora, December 6, 2023.- Committed to collaborating with the security strategy, authorities of the Institute of Scholarships and Educational Credit added their facilities as a Safe Zone, where women at risk or in danger will be able to request protection, announced Zulema Boneo Silva, state coordinator of the Family and Gender Violence Assistance System (Salva).
She explained this action promoted by the Secretariat of Public Security of Sonora, it was created to protect and provide support to women and is derived from the Salva System, in which more and more government agencies, businesses, companies and socially responsible organizations are interested in participate.
Previously, the staff of the Salva Zones said, they receive training from the SSP staff on the protocols to offer care to women who request or report feeling unsafe.
Boneo Silva recognized the will of Manuel Guillermo Cañez Martínez, general director of the Institute, so that the central offices in Hermosillo, located at 128 Olivares Street on the corner of Paseo de la Paz in the Valle Grande Fraccionamiento, are a safe space.
To date, he reported, there are 2,754 Safe Zones distributed in 59 municipalities and a total of 25 activations have been attended.
